Mounties Joggers & Walkers Club is a small and friendly sporting sub club of the Mounties Group. We are an active and sociable mix of people ready to welcome you, why not come along and then decide if you want to join.

We meet on Sunday mornings at Haigh Park (click on the Club Info link for details) for regular runs thru the Chipping Norton Lakes and for variety occasionally run to surrounding suburbs like Wattle Grove, Casula, Cabramatta & Holsworthy.
The paths around the lakes are excellent for walkers, runners recovering from injuries as well as older less active members who still enjoy the small club atmosphere and mateship.
We keep a record of times and distances covered at the club and award badges for different levels achieved from 250km+ it does not take long to accumulate, although you may struggle to equal long time members Eddy on 14,000km and Horst 17,000km.

Club members also compete throughout the year at various Marathons, Half’s, and fun runs of all distances, this also counts toward achievement badges.

We also have an annual Club Championship, members earn a point every week they run, two points for competing in the monthly handicap series with bonus points for those finishing in the top five* on the day. The handicap is held throughout the year over 7, 10 or 11km depending on the season, and alternates between staggered start or all off together. (* Top five is determined by those who are faster or closest to their handicap time). This system rewards those who turn up regularly and improve through the year, not just the fastest runner.
